Feedback on the Dell Precision Tower 7910 - Avalon

I got a Precision Tower 7910, but with windows instead of Ubuntu, an error from DELL). I am trying to get an exchange from DELL, but not sure they will do that. In the meantime:

I tried to install Ubuntu 14.04, it did not work.
I tried to install Ubuntu 12.04, but at re-boot => no system

Question:
Where to get the DELL Ubuntu 12.04 for this machine ? I could not find a link.
How to properly configure this new BIOS I discovered ?
Can I then upgrade to 14.04 ?

If it was an error from Dell, then they have to care for solving the problem - either by providing you with the right system, or by sending installation media to you.
