Feedback on the Dell Mini 10

Asked by Pollus Brodeur

For "Ubuntu on Dell Inspiron 1018 and Mini 10", when I download the ISO file suggested in this page you gave me
ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso

This give an error
This kernel requires x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU

I downloaded
ubuntu-12.04.4-desktop-i386.iso
instead and it works.

You want to change the link to the working ISO

Thanks

Hi there,

This is due to your system has a different configuration (at least a CPU with 32-bit architecture)
The Mini 10 we have certified here is running on "Intel Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N455 @ 1.66GHz ", a 64-bit system [1]. Therefore we will leave the download link as-is.

Thank you.
