Feedback Dell Latitude E7440 - Keyboard hangs after key is released

Keyboard frequently hangs when you press and hold a key for a while, then release it. The issue is best described like thissssssssssssss. Applies to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bit.

May you please try "alt + printScreen + b" combination keys when the system hangs?
The system will reboot if the kernel is still alive, otherwise it keep hanging.

Okay thank you for the reply. The problem is not really that the system hangs as such. It is rather that the key I pressed is repeated a huge number of times. When I hit backspace a few times it stops but then I already have a long string like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis. This happens often and basically renders the computer useless. The workaround is to go to settings > keyboard > repeat press and disable it. Of course this is not ideal as I would like to repeat press for things like enter, space, etc.

does it happen if you use another keyboard?
