Feedback on the Lenovo ThinkPad T440p

Asked by Caden Howell

Hi,

I am looking for a place to report an issue I had. I found this page before I purchased a Thinkpad T440p and installed Ubuntu on it myself. I got it with Windows 8.1 installed because it was the cheapest option. I took this page to be enough evidence (plus past positive experience with Thinkpad) that it would work. I could not get the Intel Wireless N 7260 Adapter to work . You can see my posting about it here (as wiscdev):

Not sure what exactly is the purpose of this page, but I'd hate to see someone come to the same conclusion I did.

I ended up buying a WiFi USB stick from ThinkPenguin.

Hello Caden,

Base on the description that you posted on the Lenovo forum, I think you already know the "iwlwifi Intel 7260 Wifi disconnects" bug [1] on launchpad.
It has been fixed in late October. If this does not work for you, I would encourage you to open a bug report by using "ubuntu-bug linux" command in you terminal to open a report against the kernel.

Here you could find some tips for opening a new bug:
