Asked by Vikas Disale

I have Dell 3537 laptop which is Ubuntu Certified. But when I purchased laptop from store I installed New Windows 7 on it. Now after 1 month of using windows I want to install Ubuntu 14.04 64bit LTS version on my laptop. I have downloaded the Ubuntu version from site and create a bootable DVD but I am not able to install it. I am getting some error like mount error ....

Please help how to solve the issue and how can I install Ubuntu on my laptop.

Regards,
Vikas

Hello,
The system, Dell Inspiron 3537, was only certified with pre-install Ubuntu 12.04.2
It might not work with stock Ubuntu that you downloaded from our site.

I would suggest you give 12.04.5 a try.
