Feedback on the IBM x3300 M4

I am unable to get it working by doing a regular install of Ubuntu Server 12.04 on IBM x3300.
I even tried Ubuntu Server 13.10.

Upon searching over the internet, there is only one possible which seems could help us:

In this solution, the person removes the drives from RAID configuration.

I would like to know why it's not possible to use Ubuntu Server 12.04 in RAID configuration with IBM servers.
Is there any plans of fixing it any later releases of Ubuntu.
