Feedback on the HP Pavilion g7

Asked by Ivan Koliadynskyy

There is special Ubuntu image (http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201209-11633/ ) for Ubuntu on HP Pavilion g7.
I have laptop HP Pavilion g7 1153er with completely the same configuration but instead Processor:
Intel Corporation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz I have Intel Corporation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz. All other equipment are the same. And with installing http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201209-11633/ I getting error like udevd[137]: timeout: killing '/sbin/modprobe -bv pci:v000 ........ ' [20].
With installing default Ubuntu 12.04 I was need to use "nomodeset" option for Ubuntu 12.04 and "nomodeset apic = off " for Ubuntu 13.04. Otherwise I see black screen. When system start first I get error "atiddxProbe: fail to probe intel VGA device"

[ 16.580] (II) fglrx: intel VGA device detected, load intel driver.
[ 16.580] (II) LoadModule: "intel"

Fatal server error:
[ 16.677] atiddxProbe: fail to probe intel VGA device

Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
     at http://wiki.x.org
 for help.
[ 16.677] (EE) Please also check the log file at "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" for additional information.
[ 16.677] (EE)

Than in low graphic error manager I select Reconfig graphics-> Use general settings and this remove /etc/X11/xorg.conf. After reboot I can use Ubuntu but without complete video support and possibility switch to radeon.

I have tried to use Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.04 with all updates installed including catalyst drvers and newest intel drivers for Ubuntu 13.04 but each time when I generate xorg.conf file and reboot I am getting described above error "atiddxProbe: fail to probe intel VGA device".

Could you please help me to define steps for solution this problem? I have asked about this at different forums and blogs but haven't got any solution and sometimes even answers yet :)

Thanks

Everything work well. But Ubuntu on Pavilion g7 1153er require to use acpi_backlight=vendor option for grub without nomodeset option. In this way system start up right and use graphic driver.
But complete support hybrid graphic I have got on Ubuntu 13.04 only.
