Feedback on the Lenovo ThinkPad X230t
Hello devs and testers,
I'd like to make a serious statement with regards to the article "Ubuntu on Lenovo ThinkPad X230" ([L1]).
That hardware contains the Intel Ivy bridge chipset and caused my colleagues and me several headaches. Until Kernel 3.2.0-43 arrived the system occasionally froze. Only LES (EnablementStack) with Kernel 3.5.0-xx seemed to have cured this with the advent of recent releases. I consider Lenovo X230 to be quite stable since the end of May 2013.
However I strongly suggest to have someone to look into this again since docking, I/O device detection as well as suspend and hibernation are still troublesome with LTS-kernel 3.2.0. I'd also like to suggest that someone looks into Lenovo Thinkpad T430. I guess a re-test with LES raring and kernel 3.8.0 should be considered.
