Feedback on the Dell Precision T3600

Asked by Fred

For me, my Dell Precision T3600 with PERC H310 card don't boot with Ubuntu 12.04.1, 12.04.2, 12.10 in 64 bits version.
live USB boots and installation is ok with Ubuntu Remix (12.10-64bits) but don't boot after installation in UEFI or legaci BIOS mode.
I don't have solution at this time.

Here's some information on how to get support, either from Canonical or from the Ubuntu Community.

One thing I'd suggest you look at is during the install (assuming you're installing from a USB device) double check that the installer is not writing grub bootloader data to the USB device instead of the onboard hard disks. I've run into that sort of issue before, and in fact, I have a 1U Supermicro server sitting here next to me that does that as well.

It sees the USB stick as 'sda' and the onboard HDD as 'sdb' and then tries writing bootloader stuff to the USB stick.
