Feedback on the IBM x3650

Asked by Anoop Harshan

Hi,

We have recently bought a IBM x3650 server. In which we want to load Ubuntu 10.04. The problem we come across is that the hard disk is not getting recognized while installation. We have configured Raid 1 and Raid 5 for the hard disks. Please suggest the method to load the drivers for the unrecognized hardware while installation or give a remedy which can fix the problem and make the installation happen in the server. We need to bring up the setup as soon as possible.

Thanks in Advance

Are you trying to configure a hardware RAID or a software RAID?

The server is configured with Hardware Raid.

Unfortunately, we only certify the built-in components of a server, not external cards like hardware RAID.

You will need to contact your hardware RAID vendor to get proper drivers to make it work.

Can you help with this problem?
