Feedback on the ASUS X101CH

I possess a "ASUS X101CH" recently and I wanted to install "linux mint 14" top "dual boot" for I had a problem on standby ubuntu is installed and I found this version a bit heavy.

when returning to standby, the "mint" I have a green screen and lots of different colors, and I have to turn off and turn on the netbook
but since it is not mint but ubuntu I have this problem, I understand that I have no answer.

could you tell me what I could easily do to solve this problem.
