Feedback on the HP ProLiant DL360e Gen8

Hi,

I'm looking at hardware certification for the HP DL360e.

"System is certified with Dynamic Smart Array disabled"

Does that just mean that the server hasn't been tested with the smart array enabled, or that there were issues with the smart Array feature turned on?

Regards,

Ed

I suspect it means that problems were encountered installing with this particular feature turned on:

"Reboot the machine and now you will be able to install the OS."

You may of course try to see what the case actually is

Dynamic Smart Array driver called hpvsa is closed source driver and HP proprietry. As if today this driver is not build on Ubuntu, so there is no support of hp dynamic smart arra mode support in Ubuntu. Thats the reason we need to change the controller mode to SATA and then install the Ubuntu to make it work.
