Feedback on the Dell Inspiron M5110 wifi

Asked by Eduardo Suárez Flores

Using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, wifi broadcom does not connect at the start. Only connects pressing fn+f2 key twice.
Every supposed fix have not work.
Ubuntu 12.10 wifi works well, connecting at start, but there are intermitent black screens problems. In this case, if I use propietary VGA Ati Radeon driver, then I have no more black screens but Unity does not start.

I replied to your other question. However, could you please open a bug (open a terminal and type "ubuntu-bug unity") and file a bug regarding the problems you have with the black screen issue and also the fact that unity fails to start with FGLRX on 12.10?

This machine isn't certified for 12.10 at all, so not much more I can do with that, but what you're describing with the video sounds like a possible regression from 12.04.

Can you help with this problem?
