Feedback on the HP Proliant ML110 G5

Asked by Lefteris Mourikis

The hardware RAID arrays configured on the on-board SATA RAID controller don't seem to be recognized by the installer. It reports that no drives have been found.

Since RAID is an essential feature for a server, I assume that this system is incompatible with Ubuntu Server.

Tested with Ubuntu Server 64-bit 12.04 LTS

This isn't so much an Ubuntu issue as it is a general issue with simple onboard RAID controllers and Linux. See the attached FAQ for more information.

Can you help with this problem?
