Feedback on the Lenovo X201

Asked by UbuntuFlo

Hi!
I have been running Ubuntu Maverick, Natty, Oneiric and Precise each in amd64-architecture.
So I am reporting this as it seems that only the 32-bit architecture is certified on the X201-page (http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201102-7305). The 64-bit is missing. If you need further informations oder tests just let me know :)
Greetings from Germany!

Hi!

We do appreciate your testing and reporting on this system. However, we only certify the systems, releases and architecturers that manufacturers request (i.e. the certification program is not end-user-driven, but requested by equipment manufacturers), and so far Lenovo has only asked for 32-bit certification on the X201.

If you would like to let people know that this system works then you can participate in the Ubuntu Friendly program (friendly.ubuntu.com).

Although the program is only enabled from Oneiric forward, if you can contribute results from that release they'd be quite welcome.

Thanks again!
