Feedback on the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E520

Asked by shookees

I don't know where to post the information but I would like to review Ubuntu 11.10 64bit installation on Lenovo E520
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz
Network: RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller
Network: Centrino Wireless-N 1000
Video: Intel 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller and AMD Radeon HD 6600M Series.

Everything works out of the box, the MMC card-reader problem no longer persists (as in 10.10)
No additional wi-fi drivers needed, everything worked instantly.
Additional drivers (from Additional Drivers setting) needed for AMD Radeon HD 6600M Series.
If there are any more questions, please ask.

hey have you ever heard of Full circle magazine? It is a magazine dedicated to ubuntu and it's derivatives and is released monthly. you can visit http://www.fullcirclemagazine.org and find instructions on how to post your hardware review. it will be published in the following month's magazine. try it once and also read the latest issue to get a general idea of what all it have.

Another suggestion: If you're running Ubuntu 11.10, you can run the Ubuntu Friendly tests, submit your results and your system will appear among the other user tested and reviewed systems on the Ubuntu Friendly website.

To run the tests in 11.10, simply click on the start button and search for Ubuntu Friendly, click on the Icon and perform the tests.

You will need a Launchpad account to submit results that will be accepted by Ubuntu Friendly, but since you've filed this question, you do have the LP account.

Once your results are accepted, your system will be listed on the UF website. You can check it out here:
