Feedback on the Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 11

Asked by MeneM

Allthough everything is functional, there is a problem with the mouse. Namely:

Oct 15 19:24:14 tribble kernel: [21057.510746] psmouse.c: TouchPad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync at byte 1
Oct 15 19:55:16 tribble kernel: [22916.754520] psmouse.c: TouchPad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync at byte 4
Oct 14 07:37:37 tribble kernel: [ 1561.530518] psmouse.c: issuing reconnect request

I tried solving it with:
mark@tribble:~$ cat /etc/default/grub
<snip>
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash pcie_aspm=force i8042.dumbkbd=1"

But it still does not work completely. The mouse still hangs every few minutes for about five seconds and then continues to work.

I'm going to mark this as solved. The bug linked has since been fix-released so I presume that hte actual issue has been fixed in the driver.

If this is still an issue, please file a new bug and reference the old bug.

Thanks
Jeff
