Feedback on the Toshiba Satellite L640

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite L640 and my Ubuntu version is 11.04 (Manually installed)

Ubuntu can't detect battery at all and ,thus, battery notification is absent.

Try almost all solutions to fix it (only re-compile kernel with copy_dsdt) but failed.

Hello,

This system is only certified if Ubuntu came pre-installed on it. The pre-install version might contain special configuration tweaks for this particular model.

My machine is Satellite L640. I'd faced this problem too.
