Feedback on the Lenovo X1

Asked by Gideon Stettler

The Fan is running with full-speed all the time.
I tried with thinkfan but it didnt work.

First i tried with Ubuntu 10.04 but the display-driver didnt support the display-resolution and it was the same with the fan-speed.
Now, Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit is installed. Everything works fine up to the multitouch-pad and the fan-controller.

Would be nice if you can bring some updates to fully support also this wonderfull laptop :)

Thanks
Gido

The real solution to the fan problem seems to be a recent BIOS upgrade, see here:
