Feedback on the Asus EeePC 1015PX

Asked by ABW

I've got a 1015pn with Ubuntu 11.04 on it. Not all features work. For instance HDMI out, VGA out etc. I understand the Asus pre-installed ubuntu 10.10 is specially tweaked by the manufacturer to make all the hardware features work correctly. I suppose theUbuntu community is not privy to these tweaks. I'd like to get my hands on this special Ubuntu version by Asus. IS THIS AVAILABLE? If so where? Did Canonical assist Asus with this edition? Where can I buy a 1015px with Ubuntu preinstalled? Certianly NOT in N.America. Retail in Europe? Looking forward to anyone's reply.. Thanks..

Asus is the owner of that special image and it is up to them to decide whether to put it on their website for download or not. As far as I know, they are not planning to publish the image.

I am unaware of where is Asus planning to sell 1015PX with Ubuntu pre-installed.

Can you help with this problem?
