The Toshiba Satellite A300 is not certified with Ubuntu.

Please, refer to the forums (http://ubuntuforums.org) to find information on how to run this system with Ubuntu 11.04

Thanks!
Ara.

I am not sure if that resolved the issue I was experiencing. The issue was that I was running Meerkat and updating to Natty. Before the update meerkat was able to use the wireless and access the internet. After the update wlan0 was disabled, but eth0 was still enabled. I used the eth connection to search the forums and from that I was able to resolve my issue. I think it had something to do with being root and assigning permissions to users.

The link was what originally suggested to me that I use Ubuntu instead of another distro.
I have since been using Back Track Linux. It doesn't bother me as to whether this is an official distro or not.
