Installing 10.10 on hp tm2t. Will this laptop become ubuntu certified? How do I configure everything?

Asked by William Fulton

The touchpad, touch screen, rotation, sound and brightness are all not fully working despite the ubuntu forum comments on scripts for rotation. Multi-touch doesn't work either. Is there a guide available or more complete info on installing and configuring the HP TM2T with switchable graphics on either ubuntu 10.10 or 10.04. Will all of these problems go away with 11.04?
Thanks

Well I found this http://asusm51ta-with-linux.blogspot.com/ from "Brian's Blog" at http://www.murraytwins.com/blog/?p=65

It looks like there is some support but I can't seem to get it to work smooth. Any suggestions?

HP TM2T is not a certified Hardware, so no warranties that it would work with Ubuntu sorry.

I would add that the uTouch team has a public IRC channel at freenode (#ubuntu-touch). As they are working with touch capable systems, they might have some knowledge about this particular system.

Can you help with this problem?
