Suggestion: open calendar by touching current-day-icon in Today scope

Asked by PeterW

Whenever I wake my Ubuntu phone to look something up in the calendar app I find myself tapping the current-day icon in the Today-scope, and I've been wondering if it's the same for other people.

Wouldn't it be convenient if the calendar app opened on tapping the current-day icon? It's really not a big issue, but it would spare me swiping the dock into place, look where my calendar-icon is, and the tapping a relatively small (compared to the big honkin' current-day) icon.

Benefits:
- one swipe less to go to the calendar
- easier handling due to larger area to tap

Drawbacks:
Cannot see any, really, but maybe that's just me.

Maybe I should have filed a blueprint for this suggestion, but it seemed overkill for such a small issue.
