Release

Asked by François Boulogne

Hi,

Is it possible to have a tarball with the last stable version? This is important for packaging in Linux distributions.
AFAIK, there is a repository therehttp://depot.zedroot.org/tuxtremsplit/sources/: http://depot.zedroot.org/tuxtremsplit/sources/ but I think this is not up to date at all.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The latest stable version is the 3.0.15 (https://launchpad.net/tuxtremsplit/3.x/3.0.15).
To download sources of this version you can use this link: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~zedtux/tuxtremsplit/trunk/tarball/175

If you want to download tarball of other versions: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~zedtux/tuxtremsplit/trunk/changes

Hi,

OK, but this is not convinient at all for packagers. It would be really more attractive if you push the tarbal on the downloading page: https://launchpad.net/tuxtremsplit/3.x
I can read "3.x does not have any download files."
WIth the link you suggested: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~zedtux/tuxtremsplit/trunk/tarball/175
the tarball could not be donwloaded automatically by wget or aria for instance.
That's why a tarball named 'txutremsplit-3.0.15.tar.gz' would be appreciated :)

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi,

I've posted a tar ball of the 4.0.0.alpha4 (console only) on the project page.
I remembered that PPA page (https://code.launchpad.net/~zedtux/+archive/tuxtremsplit-testing/+packages) has tar balls of all releases. And it's a not dynamic link (example: https://code.launchpad.net/~zedtux/+archive/tuxtremsplit-testing/+files/tuxtremsplit_4.0.0.alpha4.0ubuntu20%7Eoneiric1.tar.gz)

Is this enough for you?

Thank you for that. I successfully packaged the last version (console) for archlinux. Looking forward the GUI package.

Many thanks for your work.
Cheers.
