How to enable math formular support for media wiki?

I've installed a media wiki appliance of Turnkey Linux and it runs smoothly. However, I can't figure out how to enable math formular support in media wiki, and it seems no tetex package installed in the system. Is there any easy way to work it around? Thanks in advance.

I've been meaning to look into the math rendering engine for a while now, so thanks for the question.
After a little experimentation, I've got it working and created a howto at: http://www.turnkeylinux.org/docs/mediawiki/math
