update issues

I did a manual update using apt get updates. Apt communicated with the turnkey repository but not the ubuntu. It loaded upated files and now the webmin logon will not allow logon.

Any ideas what may have happened?

Weird.

Webmin is setup to do authentication via PAM (ie. uses the same credentials as the operating system).
What appliance (and version) are you using? I'll try and replicate the issue.

I was running Joomla applicance 12-14-2008 version. I am in the proces sof installing 2-2009 version, but have had issues with booting form teh cd after burning the iso image. It is possible from reading the update notes on the site that a lot my issues will go a way with the upgrade.

The specific issue with webmin is that I can no longer logon to the webmin server after update ran. I can get to the the webmin server however upon entering login information it gives a webpage not accessible error. I am not familar with ubuntu as I have run fedora and centos mainly, so I am also learning ubuntu at the same time as trying to trouble shoot.

I will try to install the latest appliance and rebuild the website and see what happens
