What does the "interval" in tpfand mean?

Asked by Jakob

First, tpfand is a great utility to hold my little X30 in low temperatures. Though there are no profiles for my notebook I found some nice settings to keep it in a cool state.

But what I still dont understand is, what the „intervall“ which I can set in tpfan-admin, means or does. Could somebody explain it to me?

Greetings, Jakob

In interval cooling mode the fan runs for a specified time (Interval cooling mode: duration of an interval) at the lowest speed level and is then stopped for a specified time (Interval cooling mode: minimum delay between intervals) before being allowed to run again.
