How to install in Ubuntu 8.10

How do I install on Ubuntu 8.10?
Is there a repository like the one for 8.04?
I could not do the manual install because the links for the files on the site seem to be broken.

I updated the page at http://www.gambitchess.org/mediawiki/index.php/ThinkPad_Fan_Control

The packages for Ubuntu 8.04 should work with 8.10. I will add a corresponding repository soon.
