using latest tomdroid 0.5.0 (as of today) from the android marketplace:
Steps:
[settings]
service: Tomboy Web
server: https:/
[authenticate]
"Completing authentication. Please wait..."
"The connection to the server has failed, please check that the address you entered is correct."
[OK]
I've tried the server URL with and without the trailing '/' however it is used by the Tomboy Notes application.
I was logged into the One.Ubuntu.Com site in the android browser when Tomboy was started, so authentication is definitely not the problem. As far as I can tell, tomdroid is simply not launching the Android browser to request the authentication in the first place.
This was working perfectly in tomdroid 0.4.1 a few months ago for me, with the same settings. At some point Tomdroid forgot my settings and I've tried reinstalling, clearing its settings, even factory resetting my phone. No joy.
