Tip for the burn dialog

Asked by Frode Hatlevik

Thank you for a nice program.

My only concern is that the burn-dialogue gives the opportunity to select the source file directly.

A cleaner solution would be to disable this button, or link clicks on it to the "Cancel" action. The "Cancel" button could also be renamed to "Back".

Perhaps the "Record" button in the main window could be named in the .pot file to allow translators to specify a better term. Perhaps this is also a way of renaming the "Cancel" button in the burn dialogue. For Norwegian theese are automatically translated to "Ta opp" and "Avbryt", respectively, which is not adequate in this setting.

Unfortunately that issue is related to brasero, since that dialog is effectively brasero and there is no way to change that behaviour :( However I'm working on a cdrecord/wrapper to make toast-machine directly handle the burn process, so I hope to soon get rid from brasero.

Originally there was a only a "burn" button (that maybe is still in the pot template), I changed in the GTK stock button "Record" because now that button is used to both burn and dump a img into a usb removable storage dealing with the selected file type (.iso burns, .img dumps).

I agree with you it's not clear (neither in italian), I think to add a new button to the dump-on-usb feature and reintroduce the "Burn" button. However until the next commit you can't override its name with the translations since is a stock widget automatically named and translated :(

Thanks for your tips!
