Can Tivion be made to preserve aspect ratios?

Hello:

I'm loving Tivion, having replaced channels.py with my own version. However, I am continually frustrated by the inability of Tivion to preserve the aspect ratio of the incoming video. I attempt to resize the window and the proportions of the video become distorted.

Would it be possible to have some type of setting to preserve the video aspect ratio of the video? It could be a setting such that someone could click a button or uncheck a box to adjust the aspect ratio to their liking.

I try to implement something with I can spend some time to the project (Currently I am on the last year of my career) but patchs are welcome. You just need make a string for mplayer command called for tivion.
