Source package

Asked by andrewschott

Is there a source package available? I am new to launchpad and cannot seem to find anything besides the compiled binary package.

Thanks.

No there is nothing posted except for the .deb. But TimeVault is written in python, so the .deb is effectively the source package - it's platform independent as long as the required Python packages are available. I will post a .tgz with the files for you to take a look at anyway.

P.S. Are you going to repackage it?

Thanks. Yes I was looking at repacking it for CentOS and Fedora.

I will message you when I have had the chance to repack them.

If you don't mind, could you please keep the wiki up to date:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TimeVaultPorts

Perhaps mention that you're working on a port to avoid effort duplication

I will do that. I will try to get ports asap and keep you in the loop. Note, I am a rather weak developer, so unfortunately I cannot aid in much of the coding, but I have done technical documentation in the past, so perhaps I can contribute with that.
