how to set the time zone problem(india GMT + 5.30)

We have set the time zone to India but the time that appears on the timesheet is different. Any help will be appreciated.

In the Ubuntu menus, select System -> Administration -> Time and Date.
Click Unlock and supply your password.
Click on the Time Zone and choose a city close to you.

If this does not solve your problem please describe what you mean by "the timesheet". Does the clock in the top right of the desktop display the correct local time?
