Timekpr it does not let me start administrator session

Asked by Laura Dilcab

By mistake, I think I restricted my admin session to 30 minutes cpn timekpr. My son cries because he can not start his session either. And I can not start my session with administrator permissions either. I am using ubuntu 18.04. It does not let me enter any user and I have the correct keys. HELP ME, PLEASE. I can start with a Hiren Boot or Live CD? How do I disable timekpr if I can not start any session? How do I start the PC in console mode? Is there any way to unlock my user? (This is shameful...)

restart pc, I edited GRUB with

rw init=/bin/bash

I edited file /etc/shadow

Restart PC

Boot as root

I could open timekpr and clear all restrictions in my user.

Restart

I was able to start my session with my password as before without problems.

What a scare!!!! Solved

Please use timekpr-next, there no physical user lock functionality.
