RPM spec?

Asked by Hidden Djinn

Is there any hope that you'll build an RPM spec file or a set of makefiles for installation of this?

Hi,
there is a hope, but not soon, as I'm not familiar with RPM at all and I don't run any RPM based distro.
As fastest route, there's timekpr revived builds / spec in copr repo in Fedora, someone with better knowledge could take it and adjust it to timekpr-next needs or ping the owner / maintainer to pick up timekpr-next as revived is deprecated.

Great news, I created spec file and compiled package, installed and it works, at least on wayland.

I'll refine it a little and I'll post instructions how to install soon.

Hi,

I created a copr rpm repo for Fedora and EPEL. The spec is nicely made and works out of the box with all Fedora versions and EPEL 8 and 9.

If you or someone else are interested, copr has nowadays build options for e.g. mageia, openmandriva and opensuse, but I don't have experience with these. Feel free to create a new repo in copr if you wish, it's not difficult (or refer to mine, but I won't probably update the repo too often). It certainly feels better to get the rpm and updates from a repository than from a google drive.

Great, thank you!

Will update readme with link to this repo when I'll release a next version.
