Terminator

terminfo / terminator as the default terminal emulator

I'm having trouble setting terminator as the default terminal emulator:

If I set it as the default terminal eventually I get a 'terminator': unknown terminal type.

I can't seem to find a terminfo file for it, even after reinstalling the package.

I've checked the man pages, http://software.jessies.org/terminator/faq.html and search with luck.

Unfortunately there are two projects named Terminator and the jessies.org one is not this one on launchpad!
Our Terminator can be set as the default using System->Preferences->Preferred Applications, but I am not sure about how the (Java based) jessies.org one would do that, sorry!

Can you help with this problem?
