transparency - Ubuntu Jaunty

Asked by Ian Cornwall

I had real transparency working fine in Intrepid. I though for a laugh I'd upgrade my distro to Jaunty. So far the only thing that hasn't worked is transparency in Terminator. Here's my config file.

use_theme_colors=false
background_type=transparent
enable_real_transparency=true
background_darkness=.75
background_color=#000000
focus=sloppy
copy_on_selection=true
silent_bell=true
titlebars=true
maximise=true

This sounds like it should really be filed as a bug (there's a "Create bug report" link on the right).
Could you do that and attach the full output of "terminator -d" as a file? That may give us an idea of why it's not working.

I get the same problem with Tilda, and I notice a similar problem with the transparency of the icon titles that display on mouse-over in Avant-Window-Navigator. I do not think this is a program-specific bug.

Can you help with this problem?
