It would be cool if it could be something like mozilla firefox "Caret Browsing", by pressing F7 you can move with the arrow keys and highlighting text. There should be a possibility to highlighting some output that was given some command before for example:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
ray@raybuntu-desktop:~$ ls
air Bilder Desktop Downloads gal_080422_kuchen.flv lircmd.conf Videos
anna Daten Dokumente Entwiklung irexec.sh~ Musik webcm~
ray@raybuntu-desktop:~$ cd
ray@raybuntu-desktop:~$ cd Downloads
ray@raybuntu-desktop:~/Downloads$ cd /etc
ray@raybuntu-desktop:/etc$ cd
ray@raybuntu-desktop:~$
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for example I can only copy "irexec.sh~" in the ls output by highlighting it with the mouse! I thought that there could be a keyshortcut to activate something like mozillas "caret browsing" then moving up with the arrow keys and highlighting with Shift+Left! Hope this could be done :)

And sorry for my english ;)

It would probably be a good idea to file a wishlist bug against terminator so we don't forget about this. Ultimately it will depend on the underlying VTE widget supporting it, which I don't think it does at the moment.
