collapsible windows?

Asked by realthor

One thing that would complement beautifully the zoom option...collapsible windows, something like an arrow on the border...do you think is feasible?

It would be nice when I need to watch what's going on in a few windows but others run some scripts that take long time to complete and i would like to have them collapsed and when the script finishes the bar that the window has collapsed to chage color or blink or whatever. Then I click a small arrow that un-collapses it.

Thanks.

In principle it sounds like an interesting idea, and it would need some careful implementation so it didn't waste lots of UI space.
Perhaps you could convert this question into a bug report (there should be a link on the right to do that) so I can mark it as a Wishlist item?

I've converted it to a bugreport Bug #326210.

The UI won't be taken much space as the arrow could be very small. I have a printscreen on my bloglines.com account where there is such small arrow that doesn't take much space but i don't know how to upload it here. Please tell me where can I upload it or make a bloglines account just to see it.

You can add it as an attachment to the bug report.
