autocopy on select

Asked by Musthafa Meeran

I really love this feature in putty.
And I would really love to have this in terminator as well.

middle-click in gnome is good. but, sometimes when we accidentally select some other text before pasting, what we intended to copy is gone !!

Obviously it's not impossible to do this, although if we did I would want to disable it by default - X11 clipboard behaviour is supposed to be consistent and I wouldn't want to confuse things by autocopying (which is, strictly speaking, incorrect) by default.
If you file a bug about it, I will mark it as a Wishlist item for further discussion.

Hi Chris, thanks for the answer.
It need not have to be by default, but an additional option would be useful.
One of the problems with the default X11 copy-paste (select, middle click) is that, if the application from which we copied is closed, the copied text is gone. May be what I am talking about is a gnome bug after all !!
Ok, I ll file a wishlist bug and see how people think about it.
