Decrease Mouse-Select/Highlight Sensitivity

Asked by casrep87 on 2016-06-27

I'd like the ability to decrease the sensitivity of highlighting text with the mouse. At this point, holding the mouse button with even the slightest movement starts highlighting characters. I tested with gnome-terminal just to make sure it wasn't my desktop environment.

I've seen this on different versions of Debian/Ubuntu. I can't find any other questions or reports of this from other users so I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like it. I usually run into this issue when bouncing back-and-forth between my web browser and Terminator or when I'm switching between panes in Terminator.
