Terminal Tabs Background

Asked by Leandro Heck on 2015-11-07

I was thinking if there is a way to change the tabs background color and text color. Maybe a good idea is match them with the desktop the theme.

Not at this time.

"Maybe a good idea is to <missing words here?> them with the desktop the theme."

The idea of having the tabs/text change colour as an indicator for contained terminals has come up before. I'm also aware of other apps that can have custom tab background colours. I'm cool with the indicator idea, not so much with the technicolour rainbow one.

These should be raised as separate wishlist items, not questions/answers.

Ummm. What? You mean "I *want* to match with desktop theme."?

If so, this is down to the themes you are using. GTK2 Terminator picks it's colours from gtk2 themeing, and GTK3 Terminator picks it's colours from gtk3 theme. If you have aligned themes they will "match".

Or have I misunderstood you?

Yes, you understood well and are completely right, sorry to bother you with this. :) I should have thought that it is made by gtk styles. Thank you.
