trouble adding windows/tabs/bash commands to already created layout

Asked by Jordan

hey terminator is awesome!

Problem 1. When trying to add a tab or more windows to an existing layout, WHEN you click 'add', all of the existing custom commands are not carried over to the new profile that is created. How can I make it do that? Or instead of making a new profile, how can I make changes to a profile, and then click save? There is no save button on the layouts window.

Problem 2. The names child0, child1.. terminal15, terminal16... etc are being displayed in the layouts tab but I have no way to know which actual window tab that terminal16 is referring to without trial and error (adding a bash command, then saving, then closing terminator, opening, and seeing which window that the bash command loads in). How can I make it so that the names terminal16, terminal17 were actually the custom names that I gave them when I double click on their titles and change their names? The names terminal15, and 16 etc are useless, especially because they are not in the order as shown on the screen.

The only solution that I found to this problem is to create the layout I want, close terminator, and modify the config file (because the custom names are shown there). The problem with this is that if I ever want to add another window, I have to make modifications to the existing layout, click 'add', close terminator, go to the config and add every single bash command again, not just the new bash commands for the new terminals that i'm adding.

Please help!!!!
