Why do you change base_size of WM_NORMAL_HINTS after a resize?

Asked by Jackneill

Hi,

I have fluxbox wm (gentoo) and used terminator. When terminator is in maximized window state, and i click to normalize it's size, it starts to shrink, it shrinks until only a the title bar can be seen. I've contacted a fluxbox developer and he said, the error might be that terminator changes it's base_size of WM_NORMAL_HINTS after a resize. I'd like to ask why are you doing this.

Also, i forgot to say but this only happens when no tabs are open. For example with 2 tabs, this isn't occurs.

P.S.: When it's shrunk it continues struggling endlessly. Makes system responsive, laggy, and can't move windows or do anything.

Hi,

Pretty sure the bug I just linked this too is exactly the issue you are seeing. What you are decribing is a bug and is better handled in that section of launchpad.
