Splitting behavior changed recently?

Asked by becatlibra

I'll start by noting that I run Arch Linux and have terminator installed via the default 'community' repository:

community/terminator 0.97-1 [installed]
    Terminal emulator that supports tabs and grids

I recently updated and noticed that now, when I split the window, rather than being 50/50 split it's more like 70/30 or 80/20. I see no option to adjust this behavior. It's possible that I'm missing the option or maybe there is a manual change that I can make to the config file by hand to set this back to the way that it was?

Here are the last updates that have been done. I believe the update which changed this behavior was the latest one noted:

[2013-04-30 13:15] [PACMAN] upgraded terminator (0.96-2 -> 0.96-4)
[2013-05-13 13:42] [PACMAN] upgraded terminator (0.96-4 -> 0.97-1)

Please let me know

Thanks

Benjamin

I'm also seeing this issue after upgrading from 0.96 to 0.97 on Fedora 18

Are you using tabs?

If so do you see the issue when you don't use tabs? I can see this when I have tabs, but don't normally use them.

This should really be a bug, and if/when you create it, set this question to an appropriate closed state and link bug<->answer.

Yep someone beat me to it and created the bug and linked it to this question https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1186953. It is only when multiple tabs are open as they mentioned.

Guess I should 'resolve' this since it's been moved to a bug

Thanks
