support for fixed width layouts and font scaling

Asked by aris

Hi,
first off, awesome work, I use it daily, love the focus follows mouse feature amongst others.
I was wondering if it's on the plans to support layouts with fixed width/height terminals and support
for font scaling when resizing the window.

I usually run my laptop with a big terminal on the left column and the right column is split in half.
I'd like to be able to specify that that column should never be less than 80 width (in character units)
and the bottom half of that column should never be less than 25 lines.

Here's the longer version of it:
So, while running with the laptop docked, it'd have terminus font on the big terminal (easier on the eyes
for code) and the right column is for irc, email. when I undock it, the window is still maximized but will
scale because the laptop's resolution is smaller (720p against 1080p of the external monitor). When
switching to the laptop, it'd be good to keep the second column with the minimum size and because
there's less real state for the left column, it could reduce the font size to try to keep the proportion.

Do you have plans for that? If not, any idea how hard it'd be?
Thanks

There is no current plan to support any of that, but there are some interesting ideas. Do feel free to file wishlist bugs, but I can't promise if/when any of them will get worked on. Sorry!

Can you help with this problem?
