How to set initial size of new terminator windows in characters?

My new terminator windows are too small (64x21). How can I configure the initial size of new windows, in characters? I don't see any relevant option in `man terminator_config`, in `man terminator` there is the --geometry option but this seems to set the window size in pixels, not characters.

This is not currently possible, but we should probably have a bug report open about fixing that.
