I'm searching check in systems and this one looked good but digging into it looks like the project may be dead?

I have been able to get it operational on an old recycled laptop running Ubuntu 14.10.
Some of the features were not fully implemented but it works well for my church's needs.
The primary developer seems to have mostly abandoned it but the source code is available.
I am planning on getting at least web based check-in working sometime soon.

Can you help with this problem?
