Notification icon way too big

Asked by Tom payne

I want taskcoach in my notification area but with this latest update it's about 3 times as wide as it was before. If all of my icons in that area were this big my whole taskbar would be used up!! What happened to the nice small icon???

Shouldn't have changed. What operating system is this on, and what kind of notification ? Growl, Snarl, KDE, Gnome ?

Hahaha! Well, it's not the OS or the window manager. The icon was small
but taskcoach told me about the update, so I downloaded it and installed
it. Then, the icon was large. So it was directly related to the upgrade
of taskcoach. But, on this computer I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 lts with
Mate. So, really Mate would be what's displaying the icon. I can show you
what I'm talking about.

I am a software developer, by the way. What language is this written in?
I could look at it for you, if that would help.

My point was that every desktop/OS combination uses a different notification system, so if I don't know what you're running, I don't know what to look for. IIRC on Mate, Task Coach should use libnotify, or the builtin fallback if libnotify doesn't work for some reason. The attachments are not included in Launchpad; could you mail it to me directly at jerome AT jeromelaheurte DOT net ?

Task Coach is written in Python, using the wxPython toolkit and a bunch of other dependencies.
