Do I need to select all prerequisites?

Asked by Hudgins17

When using prerequisites, do I need to select all of the tasks that must happen before my new item can begin? Or do I only select the task that is the last that must be done before my new item? For example: 3 tasks....1) clean table 2) move table to wall 3) put fridge on table. These tasks must happen in this order. On task #3, do I need to mark both task #1 and task #2 as prerequisites? Or do I only need to select task #2, since its the one that is the last task that must happen before task #3 can be performed, and since task #2 will have it's own prerequisite of #1?

Prereqs work like this:

If you make a *planned* start date, and that date comes *then* a task will appear as "late" (don't mark an actual start until you actually start it).

Now, if a task that would otherwise be late has *any* incomplete prereqs, it won't show up.

Thus, you can mark the prereqs sequentially. You don't need to mark both #1 and #2 for #3. You can just mark #1 as prereq for #2 and mark #2 a prereq for #3… but give all of them *planned start* dates (which can just be today if you like. #2 will then appear as "late" after #1 is done but be hidden otherwise, and same for #3 needing #2 to be done.

Can you help with this problem?
